I've been waiting nearly all of October to put this preview up!! It is my contribution to the Rakscraps October mega kit (only avaliable for a couple more days - so hurry and get it!) My part of the kit was posted as one of the last 2 links....lol, and I didn't want to spoil the surprise for anyone by posting here first - so I was a good girl and waited!!Friday, October 28, 2005

The rakscraps creative team put together a kit for raising funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina - this is my contribution, but it is only a tiny bit of the huge mega kit that was made. The full kit is called "Jazz Collection" and is avaliable for purchase here.
The theme for the rakscraps mega kit for September was "Back to school" - here is my contribution - I really struggled with this theme.....I'm not sure why, maybe because we don't do the apples and yellow buses in NZ!
I really love this kit - I made it for a challenge prize at rakscraps - and then I had to make a coupon - which was really a tag for participants, which is what you see below. (The coupon-tag thing was to encourate members to participate in the challenges - for each challenge they completed they got a coupon - and the person with the most coupons at the end of the month won something).

This was a kit that the rakscraps creative team put together to celebrate the member count at rakscraps reaching 4,444! It was kinda fun - Shelly Chua put together the colour scheme below and then we all had to make 2 papers and an element (thats my contribution above) - it turned out to be a pretty cool kit in the end !

This kit is part of a mega kit for the same purposes as the kit below - this one has a more 'boyish' colour scheme, and is called "For the Boys Collection" - its another huge fantastic kit! You can find details for purchasing this kit here.
Rakscraps is kept afloat by generous donations and kits that are sometimes sold by creative team members over at Scrapdish to raise funds for rakscraps - this is my contribution to a mega kit that was made specifically to raise funds. The name of the kit is "You colour my world" You can purchase it here. It really is a huge kit!!
This was my contribution to the July mega kit at rakscraps - the theme was patriotic, which was a little difficult for me not being American - although admittedly the New Zealand flag is the same colours - red, white & blue. I tried to stay with the colours but make a kit that could be used for other purposes than just patriotic.
This was my contribution to the June mega Kit at Rakscraps I think the theme was a masculine "Men" or "Male" kind of thing........ lol, I can't remember now.
I made this set of birthday wordart as a rak for the forums when it was Robin Cabana's birthday - I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out!
This was just a fun little element set that I made as part of a kit that member of rakscraps were collecting piece by piece for scrapbook week.
this kit "Stylish green" - wow I was sooooo pleased with it, it was to be a challenge prize - but then before I could give it out to anyone - or even back it up - we had a computer crash and lost all but the preview.......... I was so sad!!! - but we live and learn and now I try to remember to back up more often!
Okay, here are the first 3 things that I designed for rakscraps - I'm trying to keep them in order so that I can see how my style is changing - if it is ....... lol. This first one was for the April mega kit - I was soooo stressed about it - I was wanting to make a good impression for my first offering, lol and being in the company of designers who had been designing (and selling) for alot longer than me - I was kinda freaking out!First Post intro
I have made quite a number of kits (mini kits) - mostly for prizes or as a contribution for the mega kit at Rakscraps (I am on the creative team there) and I thought I would like somewhere to keep track of them and maybe see how my styles change and hopefully evolve over time. So here it is - my own little gallery of kit previews. Enjoy and comments are welcome.
